I am an Assistant Professor of English and Director of the Writers’ Studio 224 at Clayton State University. I teach courses on writing center education, document design, technical communication, intercultural communication, and introduction to rhetoric and writing.

I completed my PhD at New Mexico State University. My dissertation examined the multimodal composition process of three experienced teachers who spent a semester designing instructional videos to be delivered online to students. In this study, I investigated the writing decisions these teachers made as they transitioned from delivering course material in print-based format to those that are multimodal. Currently, my research interests include new media in education,  rhetorical theory of contemporary communication practices.

On my spare time, I enjoy cycling around town and volunteering as a therapy dog pet partner with my dog Aura.
